The Bluebird Cafe Documentary

Last night I went to the Tennessee premiere showing of the “Bluebird” documentary and it was absolutely magical. I’m so proud of Erika Wollam for her hard work producing it and all the care she took in telling the story. And of the founder Amy Kurland, who I’m pictured here with outside after the show. I’ve written so many times of the impact Amy had on my life 26 years ago when I started Peforming Songwriter magazine, and even more so during all these years of friendship. To see these clips and hear the stories of how many lives this little dream of hers has changed was beyond inspiring, and another reminder that we never know if what we create might change the world. So we just have to be brave—and a little crazy—and go for it. Bravo to all the dreamers and creators out there!
